How we assess Breezy HR
We look at Breezy HR on the things that decide a buy — its pipeline, automation, sourcing, pricing and what users say in aggregated reviews. Where we've used a tool ourselves across Venture Harbour's portfolio companies, we lean on that experience too. The aim is a view of how Breezy HR holds up in real hiring, not how it reads on a feature list.
- Unlimited users and candidates on every paid plan
- Drag-and-drop pipeline that anyone can use day one
- Stage-triggered automation for rejection emails and screening
- Flat monthly pricing with no per-seat surprises
- Genuinely free tier to start with one job
- The advanced automation has a real learning curve
- Mobile app does less than the desktop version
- Limited language support for international teams
Our verdict on Breezy HR
Breezy HR is the ATS we would point most startups and small businesses to first, and not from a spreadsheet comparison — we have run our own hiring at Venture Harbour on it for more than five years. It does the fundamentals exceptionally well, the pricing is fair, and the automation saves real time once it is set up.
The drag-and-drop pipeline is the part people get straight away. Move a candidate from screening to interview and a stage-triggered action can fire automatically: send the rejection email, push out a screening questionnaire, ping the hiring manager. That kind of automation usually lives in pricier enterprise tools, and having it on a flat-rate plan with unlimited users is the whole reason Breezy punches above its price.
It is not flawless. The deeper automation features take a while to learn properly, the mobile app trails the desktop experience, and language support is thin if you hire across regions. And if you need heavy compliance or multi-region data controls, an enterprise platform will serve you better. For the small-business core it targets, though, Breezy is hard to beat.
Breezy HR in depth
Pipeline & automation
Breezy HR scores 9.0/10 for ease of use — one of the most intuitive pipelines on this list. Hiring automation is yes, so stage changes can fire rejection emails, screening questionnaires and manager nudges automatically. We weigh this on how the pipeline and automation actually work in practice, not on a feature list.
Sourcing & candidate reach
Sourcing and candidate-database access is no, so Breezy HR tracks people who apply rather than helping you go find passive candidates. Sourcing reach is adequate but not the reason to buy this tool.
Collaboration & reporting
Breezy HR handles collaborative hiring well, with scorecards and feedback that leave a record. Interview scheduling is no and a branded career site is yes.
Pricing & integrations
Breezy HR uses flat-rate pricing and offers a genuine free tier to start. Integrations and API access are yes, so it slots into an existing HR stack. Pricing shown is approximate — always confirm current pricing on the vendor's site.
Who Breezy HR is (and isn't) for
Best for: Startups and small businesses that want a capable ATS without per-seat fees. Where it's the wrong call: the advanced automation has a real learning curve; mobile app does less than the desktop version; limited language support for international teams. If those trade-offs don't touch how you hire, Breezy HR earns its 92/100 Index Score.
